Lisa Fitzgerald
I can't comment on this without having to feel an imposter... this pic is just too good for S.R. , as too good is the fic it depicts. I'm honored to put it there, and i strongly suggest you to read the beautiful story that started it all. Only that way you'll get the magic and the genius behind this work of art... Thanks, Jenny and Beb.

how did you do the see through part? double exposure? clear paper?computer graphics?
Beb's Answer: Hi Zippy :). This pic was done with Painter Classic, which sadly has no ‘layers’ option. I drew the clear bit separately on a bright background, then selected the figures, pasted them into the main picture, adjusted the opacity of the selection, and touched up the edges with an airbrush. (I don’t recommend this process, btw – layers are much, much better). Thanks for your comment!

I'm guessing the transparency symbolizes the past life, a better life, one that she longs for.

Oh, I read this story yesterday. Brought tears to my eyes. This is wonderfully drawn, and I love the transparent effect you did with little Lisa.
