Omar's Studios

Omar has quite a nice "career" in drawing furry and antropomorphic art&pictures. His portfolio is pretty astounding, and all of his stuff is drawn and colored on a professional level. Lately he discovered Simpsons fandom and fanart and... you see the results in these pages other than GFWC. Keep up the great work, Omar!

Maggie and Lisa go bowling.
Is Maggie using the "Homer" ball? :D Cute sketch, the bodies and proportions on this are tending very much to a personal style, so a lot of this sketch might look "off". There are some little issues with Maggie's and Lisa's hands, but i like the situation and Maggie is cute when she's angry. :)

An Unfeasible Truth
This is an "experiemtnal" way of drawing a pic. Instead of black on white, Omar used white on black! The result is... yes, again, quite interesting. The pic is very dramatic (if you want to understand how, you can find Omar's fanfic, "an unfeasible truth", in the SFWC forum boards) and so this kind of penciling helps the mood. Sadly, some parts look a bit messy and hard to understand, but i like that he redrew the hands in the top left corner.. they are a very touching and important part of t...

Hiccup!
He hee, wuite an off character for Lisa, but then it's been done in the show too. It's like a "what if" scene. And a funny scen to boot! Lisa looks... well, not so good because of her situation, but Maggie is very cute looking caring like that. It looks like the two girls were out for a girls night out and Lisa took it a bit too far. Very nice sketch!

Siblings
I love the feeling of togetherness and confort this pic gives. Omar's lines are as always clear and clean, and his personal style shows throughout the charactres rounded features, sometimes off proportions, but very consistent. Maggie is a lucky girl! :)

Spores
This pic was inspired by the trailer of an upcoming revolutionary game called "spores". More precisely, the aline in this pic is inspired from the one in the trailer, but here it looks like it's the result of an experiment whith which Allison won first prize at a science fair. I think Lisa is jealous :) There is a sketch version of this pic where you can see the nice work Omar did for the pic, construction lines and everything... get it here!

Maggie Working Out
This is a contributions to Maggie from Jake's Lennington simpsons spinoff, where Maggie has a new hairstyle and she's quite the muscular girl :) As usual from Omar's sketches, they work great as tutorials too, just look at how he "builds" the body, face, the perspective on the weight... learn from the professionals, people :)

Cheerleader Allison
Oh, finally new stuff from Omar. This sketch looks really professional, as always the lines are clean and sharp, and the body shape is very well done. I like the longer, messier hair from her younger version and the pearl wristlace. Her expression is also nice, it looks like the photographer caught her in one of her sparse moments of relax. Very pretty :)

From Springfield With Love
Competition Entry by Omar, tellign a scene from the fanfic "From Springfield with Love" By Graham Dawson. It's great to finally see some other characters than Lisa and or Maggie. In this one, Sarai and Carla look pretty good too, and i like how Omar tried something new with the outlines.

Wings, colored.
The final coloring of a pic you can find earlier in this gallery. The sunny and breezy atmosphere really works, although the grass looks a bit "flat". The single feather floating is a nice touch.

Yellow Mile Sketches
Again a Maggie take from YM, but the most recent and here her facial and head features are pretty different from what we are used to be. I can't help but praise the original choice of making her look like that instead of the usual "round eyed cutie". I think i had some part in this with my cat-eyed Maggie, but that was still pretty close to the original.

Again Maggie from YM in two pretty shocking outfits. "Work" on the left (don't think what i think you're thinking, it's nothing like it), "inmate" on the right. Why, you ask? Well, i won't repeat myself again.

Another "character study" test sketch for Omar's project about Yellow Mile. They could be spoilers for who didn't read the main novel, but not big and anyway you should have already readed it ;). Love the sad Maggie on the right, although she will change looks quite a bit going on with the studies... you'll see.

Nurse Stanway
An early sketch of Omar, probably his first Simpsons work i've ever seen. It's a graphic rendition of a scene many loved in the novel Lisa Fitzgerald: That is, when Nurse Stanway takes care of Lisa in her ospital bed. The peculiar style of Omar's art shows here in the "puffy" looks of Lisa's head and hair, the attention ot detail in both charachters hands and the clothes. The Huntress
This is an example of Omar's furry art, not Simpsons related of course but i thought it would be nice to show his other talents. I don't know much about this kind of art to really say anything constructive from the side of the character lloks and stuff, but i've seen enough of other pics, even on "pro" levels, to say this is pretty much one of them. He did *heaps* of furry pics, being it his main drawing outlet, but i cant of course show them all here. :) Hopefully, he'll work on his website...

Oh Saxomophone, saxomophone...
Lisa playing Saxophone, on a big music competition event as writton in the fanfic "Lisa Fitzgerald" from Jenny (you can find it on this site). Being this a draft, it's easy to see Omar's peculiar drawing style and the way he uses pencil like he's already very experienced. Lisa looks cute and on model, with some slight adjustments of course, because of Omar's hand. She still look great, and her hair is very neat, too. Maybe the saxophone end is really too big, might be a perspective issue. Any...

Lisa Fitzgerald: Sketch 1
Another take on the novel "Lisa Fitzgerald". Here, Lisa is looking quite different from the Simpsonic self, Omar's skills and experience with different styles is quite showing here. Talking about the pic... i feel sorry for her, knowing what's a bout to happen. She does, too... poor Lisa.

This is more of a college than a sketch, showing once again the artists's skills. And the depression of Lisa's situation in the first parts of that novel.

Lisa Fitzgerald
After all that suffering, finally an upliftin picture, and the first one colored! Wonderful use of colors all around, even on the background (that most of people just dont care about). Adult Lisa is looking wonderfully, and so... but i don't want to spoil :) I really like the clean and soft style of this, and most of others Omar works. Really really love this, one of my favourties.

Jessica Lovejoy
It's Jessica. :) Looking gorgeous, i might add! i just love (let me say it again, sorry) Omar's soft coloring... and some little details lik the rosed cheecks and he even detailed the shoelaces! Impressive!

Maggie the Astronaut
And finally, here comes Maggie! In a camo suit! In space! Well, i admit it might seem weird, but that's exactly the point... isn't it? ;) Wonderful colors again, Maggie looks pretty cool here. Omar will be drawing her lots and lots from now on... you'll see.

Wings
Omar's rendition of a winged Lisa, from the novel "Wings" as written by Dagdamor (i suggest you go find it in the fanfic opinions board on the GFWC, you'll enjoy the pic more after reading it. It's not long, dont worry ;)). Very cute, althouth the way the dress covers up her back is a bit weird. Must not be easy with all that feathery stuff :D

The Yellow Mile
Maggie at 23, imprisoned and waiting for her last hour... as written in the novel "The Yellow Mile" by Jenny (more info on GFWC). This is the first draft of what it's turning out to be a pretty big project. Stay tuned! :)
