Night Owl's Magical Garden

NightOwl is kind of a blazing thunder in the SR fanartist group... you dont know when is she going to strike, but when she does... In her hands, a simple piccie transforms in a joy for the eyes... her skill with computer graphics is incredible, and her drawing skills and pic ideas are original and masterfully drawn. I hope she'll keep her great work up, as it shines.

The FiSi Group
Sadly, this is just an old pic, it's not that NightOwl cam back... yet. KANG asked me to upload this pic so i did. It's a FiSi group done by NO and one of her, if her only, pencil shaded pictures. Her character design can be distinguished by a mile afar :) . Here are two pics of both Frank and Stephanie from Fisi, done by NightOwl together with the above one. How i wish she came back...
The Way We Was
NightOwl is back! And here it is, her latest work. I'd say Masterwork if i didn't know she's gonna raise the bar again with her next one. What to say more... the picture is beautiful. Marge's hair (although really long, but that's always good) is the highlight of the pic, with so much detail to it that it just seems draw strand by strand. The feeling of the whole pic, though, isn't to be overlooked. A great S. Valentine pic, now that i think about it... Great Work, and thank you!
Damn Flanders.
Latest NightOwl's pic is finally from a charachter we don't see much of... Reverend Lovejoy and his beloved trains. The pic is wonderful in its simplicity, because of the Reverend's expression and all the little nifty touches Nightowl used us too. Hte light cone, the windowm, the details on the trains and the phone...
Once There was Snowball...
Lisa remembers her lost cat Snowball when, at a petshop, she sees the future new member of the Simpsons family. Do i have to say why i absoultely adhore this pic? This time it's not for (just) Lisa, and her sparkling tears... but for the expression of beatitude and pure kitteness (okay..) of Snowball2. Awesome, awesome.
Fingerpaint and Fanart
Pure sweetness! What can i say? The picture is just so cute, and the coloring is so perfect that i'm not even trying to look at the details (such as the newspaper, maggie's little stains on Homers arm, Marge motherly expression and finally... the picture in the picture that actually looks like a picture in the picture! Yeah... i meant exactly that).
Japanese Marge
This pic came right out of a "challenge" topic at SFWC (here, you can read it), and NightOwl was the first to take it up, eith this beautiful Japanese Marge. The impressive work on the grass and twirling petals effect maybe takes away the attention from the real protagonist, but it's all good, and what's not, it's better.
Tarot Card 09: The Hermit
The eight Tarot Card from NightOwl, Abe Simpsons as the hermit. Wonderful stormy effect, and i'm stunned by the precision of the lantern reflection in the glasses.
Tarot Card 06: The Lovers
Edna and Skinner are the perfect couple for this card (which happens to be my favourite out of the whole lot for now). Just sweet.
Tarot Card 13: The Death
And who, of all Simpsons people, could have resempbled better Death, Change? But Maude, of course...
Tarot Card 0: The Fool
Homer as the Fool, but i'll leave NightOwl speak for this: " The fool's described as carefree, foolish, indescrete, and vague. It's about taking chances, so I think Homer was a good choice. In the Ryder-Waite deck he is depicted with his dog, nipping at his heels that's why SLH is there too. I think it's the cutest so far." She's so very right!
Tarot Card 15: The Devil
a Devil, eh? Eexcellent...
Tarot Card 12: The Hanged Man
Yay, an Upside-down Sideshow Bob! For the first time that Nightowl draws a charachter (like many other tarots), she did an impressive great work. It is truly Bob, and the expression on his face is just priceless. Congratulations to NightOwl.
Tarot Card 01: The Magician
It seems a bit weird having Professor Frink as a Magician, but the way Nightowl pulled out this picture (like always, with an unbelievable mastery of the colors, shadings and effects) makes all worthwile! Now better put your heads under the table, cause i don't like that smoke...
Tarot Card 02: The High Priestess
The first of a series of pics that have as background motif the Tarot cards. I don't really know stuff about them, so here's NightOwl explanation: "The image is loosely inspired by a tarot card, and is the first in what a plan to be a series of the Major Arcana. I got a little artsy with the background, it's associated with the moon, the tides, and waves. It's weird but I like it. To me, Lisa seemed like a perfect choice for the card, since the high priestess is described as the card of knowl...
The Snow Men
The first pic NightOwl let herself be known for. Everyone loved it at first sight... Milhouse's excression, the ref to Calvin&Hobbes, the smooth, great shading and coloring, the cartoony feel, the snow. It's truly a great way to start, so... welcome and congrats!
