Cute Maggie's Playground

A bit later than intended because of my lazyness, Kathrin finally comes to be a part of our Realities art-family. :) She is a beginner still, but improving with each step. What she lacks in experience, she often makes up with very interesting ideas and a lot of love for what she draws. Her favourite Characters are Lisa, Maggie (grown up) and a new character she created, Monica. All of her pictures have a fairly nice mood to them, always light hearted and joyful, just like we imagine Lisa's and Maggie's youth to be.
Looking forward to see this young artistress evolve :)

Maggie on Skateboard
Wohoo, Go Maggie indeed! Technically the best picture of Maggiecute yet, great perspective. :)

Lisa and Lilly
Even though it'd need a trace, the picture is cute and very well drawn, with nice models. :)

Winged Lisa on cloud
Self Explanatory. The lineart on Maggiecute's pic is becoming quite better with every try. Lisa is looking quite good too, with a particularily interesting expression. nice touch with the writing in clouds :) Keep on it!

An Angel called Lisa
Imo the best colored pic from MC yet. :) Lisa has a weird hairdo, maybe she's flying that fast? But the pic is great, and winged Lisa is always welcome on these pages!

My Desktop
This picture has lots "CCD" vibes off it. The notes, and the idea in itself are very interestign and original. Execution is clean, almost flawless. The hints of the kids we get to see covered by the sheets are very cute and from what i can tell, nicely proportioned (maybe Lisa's right shoulder is a bit off). Great piece. :)

Me And Lisa
Oh, finally we can have a look at simpsonized Kat. :) She and Lisa are having a sweet time, it's a very calm picture. The scan is cleaner, the characters look good... Good picture and promising a good plot developement. That is a very big upside to any pic :)

Gently
Another pic inspired by the very acclaimed D.B. fic, "Gently". Very nice picture, lacking of shadowing and contrast (that would work perfect for this scene!), but very nicely detailed! Lisa looks genuinely scared, and still her pupils make her look very cute at the same time. The night out of the window, the broken mirror, the "monster's" hand.. complex picture and sure a raise in MC's standards. Keep on this road!

Baby Monica
A picture of Homer and the "newest" Simpson baby, Monica! Although the sheet is a bit rippled and the picture somewhat crooked, the two characters are very well done. Homer's big head might be a proportion mistake but makes him also very "cartoonish", dare i say cute! But as for cuteness, Monica takes the cake here. such a sweet scene. Only misses a bit of color or a cleaner scan :)

Mermaid Marge
Marge as a Siren works well, with that long hair and the green dress-tail... She looks younger than in the show although maybe it is agai na proportion problem (head too big for body). But it works all in all, and it's again a pretty picture!

Me as a Simpson
Kathrin Simpsonized. Cute, big round eyes a la Simpsons tradition, and spiffy clothing. I really dig the long hair, i'm sure she'll grow up a very pretty girl (even though i'm not sure she could beat Lisa :D ) /me runs

Maggie Sitting
As the title says... Maggie is sitting. :D Props for trying and draw the details on the feet and hands. Even simple looking things like this require quite a lot of work and skills. Congrats. And again, very cute :)

Maggie, 4 and Marge, 15
Someone has been tampering with the time machine! :D there are slight proportions issues here, mostly Marge's body looks a bit too small if compared to her head. Maggie is very cute. I wonder what they're talkign about... Is she showing Maggie where springfield is? :D cause i wanna see!

Lisa Fitzgerald
A picture from the always loved by fanartist Lisa Fitzgerald fic. Here we see poor Lisa having a hard time coping with all the things happening to her... It is nice to notice oh Kathrin has done the construction of Lisa's head and how it worked to create a very on-model character. The clothing is not her usual one and is very detailed still... I wanna hug her!

Winged Angel
Another simple picture: It suffers a bit from the tilting that might be caused from a bad drawing position, but Lisa looks cute and has nice clothing details. There's never enough winged Lisas. :D

Gazing in Wonder
Winged little Lisa for the win! :D Well, there's not much to say about this picture, except that is cute! The expression on her face is addicting. :)

Is That Really Me?
This is a very originally done picture! I love it, the idea of flying Lisa lookign at herself reflected in water and wondering... it's very well done. The water ripples are convincing enough. An example of the simplicity but at the same time originality and creativity that i like in this artist. Keep it up, Kath! :)

So, you're Lisa Simpson?
She sure is! I think this picture shows the first meeting up of Lisa and her new sister (and new character) Monica. I don't actually know why they would first meet at this age.. maybe they've been separated? Anywho, nice clean lines, very cute characters, believable poses. It's a nice picture :)

Lisa or Maggie?
As Kathryn says, "Here is one which took me about eighteen hours to get right. It's called Lis or Maggie cos I didn't have a clue which Simpson Girl it looked like the most!" I agree that because of the new hair it could be easily both. The sweetness of the looks, cutesy posture and all though makes me think it's more of a Lisa pose :)

Lisa Mermaid Cross Fairy
Winged and Mermaid at the same time? Well, it can be done, and Kathryn here did it :D Lisa's facial features are a bit off and i miss her typical spiky hairdo, but she looks peaceful and happy, so that's enough for me to like it. Keep practicing Kathryn :) It's the key to learning.
