CapAdde's Lisa Dedication

Creator of the nice fanart-driven site Saxomophone, CapAdde used to do grabpics and then gradually switched to draw his own pics, and especially Lisa pics. Like me, hes an anime enthusiast, so many of his pictures can have a connection to various anime shows and movies. Plus, he's already doing a good job and improving with every pic... so keep up the geat work!

Standing With The Sax
As before, a pic of Lisa playing sax, she's younger here and she's standing. The pose is more reminiscent of the old more classic groening images of Lisa, but the style is undoubtedly Capadde's. :)
Playing Sax
Gorwnup Lisa playing her sax in a relaxed sittign pose. Very nice stance, it looks like she's just balancing on something, being so enthralled by playing her sax that she almost loses balance. Of course the pic lacks of any element to judge o nthat, but it's just that it gives me that idea. :)
Sad In The Wind
Aw, a Sad Schoolgirl Lisa! Kind of a recurrent imaginery especially in good old anime tradition, and this pic has surely all the feel of it. In Lisa's clothes, in her hair, in her pose, in her body proportions. Also the ripples in her skirt and clothes give out a nice impression of cold wind blowing. The hair is somewhat difficult to imagine with that upper horizontal jagged line, i can't understand if it means an highlight or a different colored hair but i do like the way it flutters and the...
RPG Scene
Aah, a nice and believable Family scene! This one is very great, one of my favourites of the gallery for sure! Despite not being colored, the lines are still very clear, bt what makes the pic is the perspective! It helps laying out all elements in the picture so it becomes almost "readable" liek a comic without balloons. You can see precisely what's going on and can't help but chuckle at the clever parody of one of the funniest scene in the Simpsons. Also each expression is well portraied. Ma...
Neko
With this non colored sketch, we can appreciate the good pencil skills of this good artist. The lines are still quite clean and recognizable. Neko Lisa here looks somewhat less cute than the usual catgirl standard but she looks more realistic after all, for examples in the eyes, ears, and tail. Her pose is dynamic although i can't understand very well what is she doing. maybe showing us her cute tail? An original catLisa for sure, and another i'd like to play with (after checking on the nails...
Lisa The Cop
I don't seem to remember which anime this picture is inspired by, so i'll let you guys have a go at it :) Well, what to say. This is not a first time for SR to host a definitely sexy looking grownup Lisa and it is sure welcome, when it's so well done. Her body is drawn really good, with a good eye for proportions all around, her expression though is (and this i appreciate very much) still kind of reserved and carelessly happy, not a made-up expression that oyu can find on sleazy magazines cov...
Geez!
Heh heh... another anime adaptation from Capadde, this time i think i do remember the anime where this has been inspired from. It's probably Mai Hime! Anyway, the picture. The situation is kind of funny, the way Lisa's portraied is quite complex but well done. Her hair gives a good idea of the blowing wind (and gives us a reason for the dress-pulling). Once again, great attention has been put n the smooth look of the lines and colors. The subtle but marked shading really helps in creating a s...
Angel On Chair
Aah, Capadde comes back with a winner. This Angelic Lisa sitting / kneeling on chair is very pretty, pleasant to look at. Her body is, like as of latests Capadde stylings, shaped in an anime way, but it doesn't take away anything from Lisa's beauty in this one. Her casual stance and her sweet smile makes for a tranquil and simle-inducing picture. The wings are nicely detailed, the lines crisp and clear. A great comeback!
Angel
Okay okay, so this is not very original, but there are a couple of things i think need to be mentioned. Firstof all, Capadde's progress in both making a sketch cleaner and his better grasp on overall body and clothes. It's all getting better (aside the lower hem of her skirt, wrinkles aside, it looks a bit flat. Maybe a bit of shading could help). THe wings are nicely detailed and i like the new take on her hair. The hands and feet look very good too. So all in all, an overused subject but a...
Hot Nights
As the title says! And i'm afraind i'll be in Lisa's conditions very soon. I hate *those* hot nights. Propos to Capadde for making Lisa's "suffering" vvery believable, with lots of little useful details, such as the opened window and Lisa's pose. This is the most non-angsty "sad Lisa" pic i've ever seen, almost funny in its way. Cheers!
Petal Dance
Lisa is standing in some kind of twirling gust of wind, as the breeze makes flower gently dance around here. She seems to be happy about that despite her allergies ;). I don't know if this is inpsired by some anime, but i like the fairy-taleish feel of it. And i wonder where the necklace went :)
Lisa No Go
It's always hard to comment pictures based on shows or character i don't know a thing about :D. All the new characters are interesting, and on the left side it looks like a young Bart with Homer from the "war of the Simpsons" fantasy scene. I even wonder who that shadow is... but i at least know that Lisa would be a great player of Go.
Charge!
I bet this is another anime-to-Lisa rendition, but i really don't know from where :D Help us Capadde!
Soccer Lisa
Real Madrid, even :). This is a *Very nice* try at a more realisitc looking Lisa in a soccer outfit. Unlike some other pictures, it doesn't look like Lisa's face has been pasted on someone else's body, imho... so, to my eyes, this one is a winner!
Sakura
She's a (not a, but *the*) female ninja trainee at the start of the well known anime series Naruto. This is another nice redraw of an offical pic, and a pretty good work at that. The pose is correct, no weird proportions, and i like the floating hair/ribbon :) Sketch available Here!!
Fear Me
I knew it, "Secret war of Lisa Simpson" was just a lie! She looks like she *knows* how to handle a gun here... hm, and mimetic facepaint, too. Marge should have known better than hiring Lt. Jhon Rambo as a babysitter. Well once again, a pretty good work at drawing Lisa in a frontal stance, and the heavy pencil does its good job too!
Lisa the Haibane
Lisa as Rakka from Haibane Renmei (guess what it is? Guessed? Right! ;D): a pretty sad picture, her expression (and the position, that is *really* an important factor) is in fact pretty haunting here, feeling of hopelessness and impotence. Just one thing about this pic puts me down a bit, and that's the absence of a deeper shading to her robe that would give the pic that depth it really needs. I always thought those little wings were really cute things, but in this pic they just add to the sa...
.hack//Lisa
This time it's the turn of Rena from ".hack//Legend of the Twilight", an interesting anime show about MMORPGs and medieval/fantasy stuff. Lisa takes her place in this picture : This time the body proportions are much more like the one of the anime, and this clashes a bit with that cute, big, groenig-y Lisa head. But it's all forgiven because of the good shading and nice detaails on the armor. ;)
Gunslinger Lisa
From a character that comes from the similarly named "Gunslinger girl" anime show, here's a.. uh, schoolgirl lisa having a blast with her trusty FN P90. The pic is a redraw from an actual show official pic with Henrietta doing the same, but this version keeps true enough to the Groenig style. ;)
Crying
Or better... Blood tears. This is the "strongest" simpsons pic on this site so far, imho, and not just for the blood (that's been depicted scaringly well and realistically, contrasting with the simple shades of color of Lisa), but moreso because of the scene it depicts. I won't spoil, but if you are interest, i suggest to read the fic "Child of Darkness", by Graham Dawson. You can find it in the GFWC board, fanfic reviews section. Go there NOW! ;) Pencil sketch of the same picture is here......
The Person Just for Me
This pic is a redrawing from the outro of the anime series "Chobits", which sadly, i've never seen. So i can't say much more about it :/ Surely, it's something different from what we're used to, and has a weird mood to it, must be those weirdly shaped buildings at the horizon, or that seemingly endless "mrrored" road. It's an interesting pic. The sketch for this picture is available clicking Here!
Windy Night
Lisa looking at the night in a windy atmosphere. Simple, but very well done, and with a nice mood to it.
Was this a nosegrab?
A daring and i might say quite successful try with a more difficult perspective, with Lisa skating taken by a non usual angulation. Andreas Roth from KMS did a nice, record time coloring of this one, click here to see it.
Lisa cool, colored.
Same as the sketch before but colored in Photoshop. CapAdde is sure learning his stuff and this pic looks very cool indeed. Kepp up the great work!
Ooo, sparkly!
A simple Lisa coloring but this shows the big improvement from the first sketches and colorings of CapAdde. Even if the light effect is too strong in parts, this looks a lot like a picfrom an original ep, and that's a very good point!
*suck* *suck*
Ooh, here's Maggie. Even if she's similar to Lisa in many ways, she is still a new charachter, and despite a little problem with the neck (too short?), i like this very much.
Snowboard Lisa
Done while training with Photoshop, this coloring has a nice mask effect. the idea of the shadow is cool too, if not really adjusted to the need (hey, but it looks like she's surfing on a very plain snow terrain so it's good). I wonder if she's tailing Bart or if she just passed him by (and judging from the smile...)
Lisa Mermaid
I don't think i ever see Lisa as a mermaid, so here. Her "what are you looking at?" expression is hilarious imho, and i'm glad that even if the figure is simple, CapAdde tried to detail it for good. Nice result, now she just needs a prince :)
Lisa Monroe
Ok, who doesn't know what kind of parody this is, raise your hands... good. This one has Lisa's overbite a bit too long, but the rest is good nonetheless. Worthy of mention its surely the windy effect on the dress, not easy to do!
Flag Carrier.
Another kinda simple pic, but very clean and traced. Lisa as a.. girl scout? does that name exist? :)
Snow Everywhere...
..she seems to be thinking. Another pretty raw sketch, but once again, it's worthy of attention. Her stance is a bit rigid but the look on her face is priceless, now we just have to guess what she's looking at.
Cool Lisa
Like the title says, it's a pretty cool-looking Lisa, i love the beret and the stance of this. CapAdde did the coloring of this which adds a lot, you can find it into the newer pics.
Lisa's expressions
Even if this is a rather raw scribble, there's a thing i love in it. Two, even: The fact that the expressions look genuine and are a good tutorial for starters, and the fact that the frontal shot is cute beyond limit! Simpsons charachters are well-known for their ugliness when depicted in full-frontal (no, not nudity), yet Andreas managed to make Lisa look cute even in that delicate situation. I don't think i would be able myself, in fact i always try to avoid it.
